Maleeka Madison; She's super dynamic!

In the story The Skin I'm In, the main character is Maleeka Madison. She is a 7th grade student at McClenton. Before 7th grade, she had been the picture perfect student, with ongoing A's and delightful pleasantries from her teachers. After a while however, the students in her class would become hard on her with insults on her skin color and the clothes that she wore. These insults would bring her down and cause her to choose a path of a careless student. She would end up skipping classes, failing them, smoking and drinking in the bathroom, and destroying school property. She became dynamic midway when she started contemplating her choices that she's made. Maleeka Madison changes up her life by looking through her eyes and the eyes that support her. Her problems would almost seem to vanish.
