The Skin I'm In: by Sharon G. Flake

The Skin I'm In by Sharon G. Flake is a story about Maleeka Madison, a 7th grade black African student. She is teased on about time to time about being "too black" and also with the fact her mom makes the clothes for her. She can relate her problems to her teacher Miss Saunders who has a skin condition that leaves a mark on her face. They have formed a relationship to help try to help with each others struggle. One of the biggest problem Maleeka faces is a big-mouthed kid named Charlese and her trouble-making friends like Caleb. She must find a way to try and end her problems she faces in her school.

Final Blog Project (E): That Little Boy

That little boy that in my head I see
I see I see, you are punished with glee
Nothing or nobody is perfect you understand
Life may be hellacious but can also be grand

That little boy that in my head I hear
I hear the I hear, your sadness your fear
Nothing or nobody is perfect you understand
Life may be hellacious but can also be grand

That little boy that in my head I feel
I feel I feel, this sadness is real
Nothing or nobody is perfect you understand
Life may be hellacious but can also be grand

That little boy that in my head I am
I am I am, all I wanted is a nice loving fam'
Nothing or nobody is perfect I understand
Life may be hellacious but can also be grand

Final Blog Project (C): The Ending Life of Dave Pelzer

I've read many books about this man, but the most recent book about his life would be The Privilege of Youth, where he finally is an adult. In the end of the book it mentions him joining the U.S Air Force. From my guess, I'd say he stayed in the Air Force for awhile. He probably did end up raising a family after wards. Most likely he met the girl that he did during his time in the Air Force. I'm guessing he's pretty rich from all the books he's written and the notability it's gotten. Good luck with your life David James Pelzer.

Final Blog Project (F): Child Abuse

This image does not just connect a little. It is exactly the problem in the book. This picture has a child with her right eye bruised due to child abuse. The same thing happened to the character in my book, Dave Pelzer. Dave Pelzer was the child of one of the most severe cases of child abuse. This picture also gives a life long lesson to children and parents from around the world. It gives a lesson on how mortifying child abuse is.
