The Understanding of Importance For A Theme

I tend to think of theme a lot as a life-long lesson towards the readers. Personally I think the theme is also the meaning of the book. If a book were to have no theme, it would have no meaning. Thus it would cause the book to be obsolete. Youi can see themes just about anywhere, magazine articles, movies, music, the list may possibly never end. Referring to our latest book that we read as a class, Speak. Since there are so many themes I will be using one. One person explained how you can't solve your problems by just running away. In Speak, Melinda had ran away from Andy Evans over and over and her fear of him never came to a closing. Afterwards when Melinda finally stood up to Andy, she was no longer afraid and she felt as if some weight had been lifted off of her shoulder.

The Rise And Fall of Reading This Year

This year may have been my worst year so far of reading. The reason is I took no interest of reading at all this year. During my last few months for my middle school required reading which I did none of at all. The main type of works that I took a look at were Goosebumps, Dave Pelzer's stories, and both poems + stories of Edgar Allan Poe. The reason for the Goosebumps was just to bring back old fond memories of swell kiddy stories. The reason for Dave Pelzer's stories were because of the dispicable sickening child abusive story of his life. Lastly I favor Edgar Allan Poe's because of his dark, mysterious and unusual fantasy in of Edgar Allan Poe's mind.

A Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer

A Lost Boy is the sequel to A Child Called "It" both written by author Dave Pelzer. This book talks about the life of Dave Pelzer after he escaped from his treacherous mother who had abused him so much. After a meeting in school with Dave and some of the school officials, he was finally moved to another city away form his mom and brothers. Now as a lonesome child, Dave Pelzer with no home, no family, nothing at all must find life in the new city. His life before the abuse started was like heaven on earth. Dave had the best tasting food, the greatest adventures, the most fun to play with brothers, and possibly the best parents ever. One dark secret caused the mother to snap and then soon the abuse began.
