The Understanding of Importance For A Theme

I tend to think of theme a lot as a life-long lesson towards the readers. Personally I think the theme is also the meaning of the book. If a book were to have no theme, it would have no meaning. Thus it would cause the book to be obsolete. Youi can see themes just about anywhere, magazine articles, movies, music, the list may possibly never end. Referring to our latest book that we read as a class, Speak. Since there are so many themes I will be using one. One person explained how you can't solve your problems by just running away. In Speak, Melinda had ran away from Andy Evans over and over and her fear of him never came to a closing. Afterwards when Melinda finally stood up to Andy, she was no longer afraid and she felt as if some weight had been lifted off of her shoulder.
